Recognized as a "Legend of the Hilltop" in 2005, alongside Bill Russell, Kari was honored as one of USF's top 75 athletes of all time. From 2009 to 2021, she served as a swim coach, instructor, and Aquatics Director at the Edge, before transitioning to teach at Charlotte Central School in 2022.

  • Hilary Stanton-Geddes, Head Swim Coach
    • Hilary's journey in swimming began with the Lake Champlain Waves in Plattsburgh, NY, setting the stage for a remarkable competitive career. She represented Peru Central School and later Amherst College ('05), where she not only secured numerous district, school, and pool records but briefly held the college record in her specialty, the 200 Breaststroke. Hilary's swimming endeavors extended to high-level competitions, including NCAA Div. 3 championships, reflecting her passion for the sport.

Beyond the accolades, Hilary's true devotion lies in fostering a love for swimming in the next generation of record setters. As the head swim coach at BTC, she considers herself fortunate to lead a team that achieved consecutive State championship victories in 2022 and 2023.

Hilary wears multiple hats, with one of the most significant being a parent to three BTC swimmers. As a mom, she firmly believes in the integral role sports play in the holistic development of a child. Her coaching philosophy extends beyond perfecting racing strokes; it emphasizes the values of hard work and teamwork. Hilary holds a Master's in Nutrition, recognizing swimming as a pathway for kids to cultivate lifelong healthy habits—embracing both ice cream indulgence and time spent in the pool.

In essence, Hilary's story transcends the pool, embodying a passion for swimming, coaching excellence, and a commitment to shaping well-rounded individuals both in and out of the water.
