Errol head shot


Errol was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa where he grew his love for the game of tennis. He has been living in VT for the past 16 years
and has worked as The Director of Tennis at Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps and Director of Tennis & Resort Programs at The Bridges Resort in Warren, VT. Errol is a graduate of The University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Finance and Marketing. He played #1 singles and doubles for WITS and served as chairman of the tennis club. During his WITS years, Errol was selected to play for the Gauteng Provincial University Team which went on to win gold at the South African National Universities Championship.

When Errol has had time to compete in the New England Men’s Open circuit he has consistently been ranked in the top 10 with his best year-end ranking of #3 in 2007. He has many titles in different states including the Connecticut Open, South Shore Open in MA, RFC Championships in ME, and Vermont Tournament of Champions, to name a few.

Errol has a PTR Professional Tennis Teaching Qualification for U10, 11-17, as well as Adult tennis. In 2012 Errol received the USTA New England PTR Pro of the Year award. He has worked with beginner level players right up to nationally ranked players from the US and all over the world. Errol currently serves on the USTA VT board to help promote and grow the game of tennis in our state.

Errol loves to teach the game and truly believes that tennis is one of the great lifetime sports that can be enjoyed by all. Megan playing at Kenyon College


Megan returns to BTC with a competitive spirit and a passion for tennis and teaching. A Burlington native, she currently attends Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. Megan plays for the varsity women’s tennis team, which advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament this year and finished the season ranked #14. She loves the supportive, team aspect of college tennis and will bring the same level of enthusiasm and energy to the Junior Programs at BTC. In college, Megan studies economics and pre-health, volunteers at an elementary school, and serves on the Student Life Committee. A future physical therapist, she is excited about customizing each tennis lesson for the individual player. Megan enjoys working with both children and adults of all abilities to develop new techniques and match strategies. Jake is from Long Island, New York and began playing tennis at six years old.  He quickly fell in love with the game, and in high school made the varsity team as a freshman where he played for all four years.  Jake is now a sophomore at UVM with a major in political science and a double minor in global studies and sports management.  Jake plays for UVM’s club tennis team as well as the club roller hockey team.  He has been teaching tennis since his junior year in high school, working for Sportime Roslyn on Long Island and also helped run a volunteer clinic his senior year of high school called Serve to Serve, a program giving children who cannot afford lessons the opportunity to play tennis.  For the past three summers, Jake worked at Camp Taconic as a camp counselor teaching tennis and taking care of kids. At Taconic he helped kids improve their skills and fall in love with the game.  He is very excited to share his passion for the game at BTC this summer and cannot wait to meet everyone!  For lessons text/call Jake at 516-459-1772.


Ruby is a lover of sports. She appreciates how competition can build character and how it can challenge you in all aspects of your personality. She is a high honors student, three-sport varsity athlete, and rising junior at Burlington High School. Ruby is coming off of a successful season where she has played in the number 1 position in both her Freshman and Sophomore years and was ranked #2 overall in the individual Vermont State Tournament. Ruby will be representing the United States this summer in the Pan American Maccabi Games in Mexico City. For the past 4 summers, Ruby has assisted Jake Agna with the "Kids On The Ball" program where she enthusiastically has helped share her love of the sport with under-served, at-risk youth. Junior Tennis Director


Kevin Lizzo hails from Rochelle, NY. He graduated from St Michael’s College in 2002 where he played all 4 years on the tennis team. Kevin then coached the St Michael’s team for 11 years. He has a wealth of experience teaching tennis. Kevin taught at BTC from 2003-2015 and was recently the Junior Tennis Director at The Edge. Kevin is a life-long player and coach who enjoys working with players of all ages and levels. His passion for the game is evident in his teaching style and energy on court.
