Tennis Director

ERROL NATTRASS - TENNIS DIRECTOR

Errol was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa where he grew his love for the game of tennis. He has been living in VT for the past 16 years and has worked as The Director of Tennis at Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps and Director of Tennis & Resort Programs at The Bridges Resort in Warren, VT. Errol is a graduate of The University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Finance and Marketing. He played #1 singles and doubles for WITS and served as chairman of the tennis club. During his WITS years, Errol was selected to play for the Gauteng Provincial University Team which went on to win gold at the South African National Universities Championship.

When Errol has had time to compete in the New England Men’s Open circuit he has consistently been ranked in the top 10 with his best year-end ranking of #3 in 2007. He has many titles in different states including the Connecticut Open, South Shore Open in MA, RFC Championships in ME, and Vermont Tournament of Champions, to name a few.

Errol has a PTR Professional Tennis Teaching Qualification for U10, 11-17, as well as Adult tennis. In 2012 Errol received the USTA New England PTR Pro of the Year award. He has worked with beginner level players right up to nationally ranked players from the US and all over the world. Errol currently serves on the USTA VT board to help promote and grow the game of tennis in our state.

Errol loves to teach the game and truly believes that tennis is one of the great lifetime sports that can be enjoyed by all. He will be bringing his expertise and industry knowledge to ensure that BTC is one of the premier tennis & swim facilities in the state.


Junior Tennis Director

KEVIN LIZZO - JUNIOR TENNIS DIRECTOR


Kevin Lizzo hails from Rochelle, NY. He graduated from St Michael’s College in 2002 where he played all 4 years on the tennis team. Kevin then coached the St Michael’s team for 11 years. He has a wealth of experience teaching tennis. Kevin taught at BTC from 2003-2015 and was recently the Junior Tennis Director at The Edge. Kevin is a life-long player and coach who enjoys working with players of all ages and levels. His passion for the game is evident in his teaching style and energy on court. Kevin also enjoys the mountains, lake, and biking.

MEGAN COLLINS - TEACHING PRO

Megan comes to BTC with a competitive spirit and a passion for tennis and teaching. A Burlington native, she currently attends Kenyon College in Gambier, OH as a rising junior. She plays for the varsity women’s tennis team and was thrilled to win her first-round match at the NCAA Championships in 2017. Last summer, Megan enjoyed competing with adult players through singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches in tournaments around New England. During her senior year at Rice Memorial High School, as captain, Megan played #1 singles for the varsity team and was ranked #3 in Vermont. Megan is compassionate, upbeat, and has experience working with children of all abilities. She headed the Special Olympics program at her high school, helping children with intellectual disabilities develop fine motor skills and gain confidence in team sports. In college, Megan regularly volunteers at an elementary school and plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. She will work hard to help players sharpen their skills and looks forward to sharing her love of the game!



TRENT NEWMAN - TEACHING PRO


Our former club champion joins us again at BTC this summer. Trent currently plays 1 & 2 singles for Stonehill College where he is currently on a tennis and academic scholarship. He held two Vermont State HS Boys Championship titles and was ranked in New England and Nationally in U18. Trent brings skills, enthusiasm, and a humbleness to his teaching. In addition to his zeal for tennis and helping others thrive on and off the courts, Trent is fun loving and passionate about giving back. He spent two Christmas vacations building churches and schools for the poor in Jamaica, volunteered his time to teach tennis and read to disadvantaged kids and frequently supports cancer fundraisers. Trent is looking forward to sharing his expertise and motivating everyone to take their game to the next level.
