We have a lot to be proud of when it comes to our tennis staff here at BTC. They all share a love of the game and look forward to sharing this with you. Staff is available for private lessons, group clinics, all of the programming listed above, as well as a hit with a pro opportunity where you can grove your shot for 20 dollars an hour!! Kevin Lizzo: Kevin has been on the BTC tennis staff for six years. He is currently the men's head coach at St. Michael's College and assistant girl's coach at Burlington High School. Kevin played four years of Varsity tennis for St. Michael's College. During the winter months, he is a tennis pro at the Sports and Fitness Edge. |

Amy Berkman: Amy has been on the BTC tennis staff for seven years. She is a two year High School state tennis champion. Amy is a graduate of Middlebury College, where she was a four year member of the varsity tennis team as well as captain. Amy is currently assistant women's coach at St. Michael's College. |

Rini Lovshin-Smith: Rini is a 2010 graduate from UVM in childhood education. This will be her first year at BTC. Rini played tennis for Middlebury High School. In addition she has taught at the Basin Harbor club as well as at Middlebury IndoorTennis Club. |

Maddy Hartley: Maddy will graduate this june where she is currently the number one singles player.Next year maddy will be playing tennis at Wheaton College. In 2009 she placed second in the state individual singles tournament. This is her third year on the BTC tennis staff. |

Jeanne Hulsen: Jeanne has been the head tennis pro at BTC for 7 years. She has been teaching and coaching tennis for over 30 years. She has coached highschool boys and girls and collegiate men's and women's teams. She is currently the head coach of the Burlington High School Girls Varsity Team. Jeanne competes in tournaments across the US and is a Nationally ranked senior player. In addition she has represented New England in national and International team competitions. |

Kristin Hartley: Kristin is a long time board member of BTC and now become the club co-manager. She teaches tennis and skiing to children and adults as well as actively promoting tennis events in the area. She is currently the Boy's Varsity assistant coach. Kristin competes in tournaments across the US and is a nationally ranked senior player. In addition she has represented New England in national and international team competitions. Jeanne and Kristin teamed together and completed the 2009 national circuit with top 10 rankings in women's 35 and 45 doubles. They combine their team work to provide creative tennis programming that is fun, skillful, challenging and dynamic for all ages and abilities. |

Cora Cummings Gauvin: This is Cora's eighth year returning as the head coach at the Burlington Tennis Club. She can also be found on the deck at St Micheal's College coaching for Green Mountain Aquatics during the winter months. This past winter, she joined the coaching staff at UVM to volunteer coach with the women's swim team. Cora teaches in Special Education in Math and Science at South Burlington High School. She loves returning to the Tennis Club each year, as she spent her summers in the pool as a young swimmer. Her love of the sport grew from her former coach, Sam Jacobs and her father, Allen Cummings. Both of whom have special awards named after them handed out at the annual end of the year swim team banquet. Cora has a passion for all things water. She can't wait to pass on her love for the sport and enjoyment of being a part of the Burlington Tennis Club Swim Team to swimmers of all ages.

Jen Cournoyer: Jennifer Fenton Cournoyer returns to Burlington Tennis Club for the 5th summer in a row. She will be conducting the 7:30-9am advanced practices along with assisting at swim meets. Jennifer starts her seventh season as an assistant coach of the women's swimming and diving program at the University of Vermont after being hired in August of 2004.Jennifer, a 1995 graduate of Bloomsburg University, started off as a volunteer assistant coach at UVM in August of 2003. Before that, she was head coach of women's swimming at Lock Haven University, where she also served as an assistant coach. She also was head coach of men's and women's swimming at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. in 1997-98. |

Stephanie Buzzell: Stephanie was a competitive swimmer starting at age 5 through college at the University of Pittsburgh. For 6 years, she coached children in age group swimming. Before becoming a full-time mom, she was a system anaylst for DuPont in Wilmington, DE and then at the National Cancer Institute in Fredrick, MD. Her family: husband, Tom, and 3 children, Abigail, Jonathan and Samuel, moved to Vermont in 2000. Grace, their fourth child, was born here in Vermont in 2001. Stephanie and Tom has been involved in Vermont swimming as supportive parents, officials and/or coaches for a number of years. Stephanie has al so been a religious education teacher at their church, St Jude's in Hinesburg. Stephanie loves the sport of swimming, and is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion for swimming at BTC. |

Eric Smith: Eric is twenty-years old and just finished his sophomore year of college at Montana State University where he is majoring in Construction Engineering Technology. He has been swimming competitively year round since he was six years old. He is also starting his second season of coaching the Barracudas and his third year of life guarding at the Tennis Club. Eric will also be available all summer to teach swimming lessons. He hopes to see you in the pool this summer! |

Colleen Clark: Colleen Clark is twenty-one years old and is a recent UVM graduate earning a B.S. in Education. 2010 will mark her second summer at BTC as a swim coach, lifeguard, and swim instructor. She was a member of UVM's swim team and was nominated as team captain during her senior year. She loves working with children and enjoys teaching swim lessons. Colleen is looking forward to seeing all BTC members throughout the summer! |

Marcella Melloni:Hi my name is Marcella. I have been on the swim team at the YMCA for 13 years and have been a captain for the past 2. I have been swimming since I was four and have been a captain of the swim team for the past two years. This is my second year as an intern coach at BTC, which I enjoy because I love working with children. I naturally connect with children, and I look forward to having your child be a successful, independent swimmer! |

Michael Goldberg: Mike just finished his freshman year at Northwestern University where he is studying Biomedical Engineering. He has been swimming competitively since he was seven years old. He has four years of lifeguarding experience and is WSI certified. He coached BTC swimmers of all ages as an intern for two years. He hopes to teach swimmers to love the water as much as he does! |

Rebecca Goldberg: Rebecca Goldberg is seventeen-years old and just finished her junior year at South Burlington High School. She has been swimming since she was six, and this will be her sixth year with BTC, her second year being an intern coach and a sub lifeguard. She loves being a part of BTC swim team because she loves swimming and making new friends. Her favorite part of coaching is being able to get to know the kids in other age groups, watch/help swimmers improve as the summer progresses, and being with the awesome BTC staff. She is a certified lifeguard and babysitter, and is available to give swim lessons. See looks forward to seeing you on the pool deck! |
