Guests

As a service to our members, you are allowed to bring three guests per season at no charge. Otherwise, we ask your guests to pay a guest fee which is minimal compared to what members pay to keep our facilities operating.  It is our goal to extend a welcome to everyone and for all to feel that contributions are fair.  Guests from Chittenden County are limited to three visits per season.  After that, it is time to invite them to join!

Please speak to a board member regarding out of town family visitors.

Guest fees and passes are only required for non-members who actually use the facilities.  Friends, grand parents, and extended family are always welcome to watch swim practices and tennis lessons, or cheer at meets and matches at no charge.

Private Sitters/Nannies/Au-pairs

Many of todays families consist of a single parent or two working parents.  To enable these families to enjoy the club experience, BTC welcomes nannies, sitters, and au-pairs of member families at no extra charge as long as they are accompanied by a family member.  Nannies, sitters, and au-pairs who wish to use the club on their own must pay the regular guest fee.

Tennis Court Policies

The courts are open from 6:30AM to 8:30PM daily from mid May to mid October, weather and conditions permitting.  The official court schedule can be found on-line and is regulated by the Tennis Committee and Club Manager.  Reservations can be made up to 6 days in advance on-line, in person, or by calling 863-3439 for a 90 minute time slot on courts 1 - 6.  However, seasonal programming and special events will block out courts at specific times.  Courts 7 & 8 are left open for clinics and lessons and may be used first come/first served when available.

Tennis Court Rules

1. Please reserve your court in advance.  Unreserved courts are first come, first served, but reservations take priority.
2. Decisions on court playability will be made by the Club Manager.
3. Proper tennis shoes must be worn on the courts.
4. Please wear shirts and appropriate tennis attire.  No bathing suits allowed on the courts.
5. Tennis courts may not be crossed while games are in progress.
6. Children not playing tennis are not allowed on the courts.
7. Courts must be swept after playing.

Pool Policies

The pool is open to members from about Memorial Day to the middle of September.  Master swimming, which is available to members at no extra charge, is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30am - 7:00am all summer long.  The pool is reserved for swim team during practice times - 7:30am to noon in June and July.  The pool also closes at 5:00pm for home swim meets which will be posted on the club calendar.  Swim team will also reserve the pool for Family Fun Night and the Awards Banquet in August.  Otherwise, members are free to use the pool whenever they like.  There are always 2 lanes available for adult lap swimming as well as a 15 minute adults only swim every hour.

Pool Rules

1. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Be respectful of the club and others around you - please pick up after yourself.
3. No horseplay in or around the pool (pushing, running, flips, chicken, dunking).
4. Use equipment appropriately (lane lines, lawn chairs, games, showers, play area).
5. Diving from the deep end of the pool only; use of diving blocks is strictly prohibited.
6. Except for Coast Guard certified personal flotation devices, use of water wings/swimmies/floaties is prohibited.
7. Appropriate swimwear is required.
8. Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper.
9. In the event of lightning or thunder, the pool and deck must be cleared for 30 minutes.

These rules are set forth for your safety. Please follow them, or you may be asked to leave the pool area.  The lifeguard's interpretation of the rules is final.
